I was born and raised in the Lower Mainland but spent some time in Calgary, Alberta attending school and playing university hockey, which was a huge part of my identity growing up. Throughout my hockey “career” I recognized I had this underlying passion of helping people. This is where my journey of becoming a counsellor came into play. On my spare time, I enjoy spending it with family, friends and my fur child, Bentley!
A philosophy that I live by is that everyone has the ability and deserves to experience positive change and live their true, authentic, happy selves. However, I recognise this can be much easier said than done, so incorporating self-compassion and patience for yourself is beyond important and very much needed. As Ellen would say “Be kind to one another” and yourself!

I work with an array of nutritional ailments, such as fatigue, chronic constipation, poor digestive function, and stubborn weight by improving digestive health and liver function. I approach each client’s needs in an individualized way to provide customized lifestyle coaching in a comfortable and balanced way.
Philosophy
Growing up in a big North African family, food was not just for sustenance and social gatherings: it was our go to remedy for all ailments, from stomach-ache to heart-ache. Today I am inspired by my personal health journey and eastern traditions of healing, as well as the holistic and natural lifestyle of my West Coast home. I am an empathetic listener who strives to reduce barriers and make well being accessible for people of all backgrounds and circumstances. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be in a field learning about the human body. This led me to my first degree at the University of British Columbia where I specialized in Cellular and Developmental biology. After graduation I knew I wanted to take my curiosity outside of the lab and apply it to a more people-centered career. I immediately resonated with the foundations of Naturopathic Medicine and began my journey to become a Naturopathic Doctor.
I aspire to approach interactions with an open mind and curiosity towards science, culture, individual human experience and how they all intersect. I hope to create an openness that lends to genuine conversation. We could talk about medicine and even about the Earl grey donut from Cartem’s we both love! My goal is to meet you where you are at and support you with a plan that is not only attainable but also sustainable. Can’t wait to chat all things your body!

From a young age, my family would often joke that I just wasn’t blessed with good health genes. I was that kid who was always struggling with something, from tummy aches, asthma, allergies and a weak immune system. This continued into adulthood where I just often didn’t feel good. Migraines, anxiety and always feeling tired were the norm. Deep down I knew this couldn’t be “normal”. And so I decided around the age of 18 to learn how I could heal. This journey started with learning what foods made me feel better and which made me feel worse and starting to meditate to heal insomnia and deppresion. Those first experiences were powerful launch pads that taught me that we can heal our bodies and minds. These powerful experinces promoted me to learn more about herbal medicine, supplements. I also decided to go to school for Psychology and Sociology so that I could better understand people and the way our society shapes our wellbeing. Since then I’ve done years of dedicated self study in various health topics. I have also gotten trainings in Yoga, Health Coaching, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, Behavior Change, and Corrective Excerise.
My current practice specialises in supporting people with migraines and headaches as I found there was a major lack of good solutions for migraineurs. In my own healing journey migraines were one of my own biggest challenges I faced and after many years of study, self experimentation and healing work I started to put together a method to help people heal their migrianes. I help people understand thier unique migraine picture and tools that they need so they can achieve greater health and freedom from migraine.
As someone who is passionabout about holistic health, it’s important to me to understand a wide range of health topics so that I can better see the whole picture of a person. I am well-studied and practiced in nutrition, fitness, lifestyle medicine, biohacking, ancestral health, holistic health and natural medicine, the art and science of coaching, mindfulness, behaviour change, meditation, breath work, pain science and herbalism.
I have formal training as a:
Certified Health Coach
Craniosacral Therapist
BA in Psychology and Sociology
Certified yoga teacher
Functional range conditioning practitioner
Corrective movement specialist
Behaviour change specialist
Fitness instructor
Reiki level 3 / Master Reiki Practitioner
Certified Restore Human Coach
Certified Level 1 Gymnastics
My goal when I work with my clients is to empower them with the tools they need to overcome their unique health challenges. When I am not studying and practicing holistic holistic healing work I can usually be found in nature hiking, camping or foraging in herbal medicine. Or when I am in the city you can find me dancing zouk, contemporary, contact dance, or partner acrobatics.

My Philosophy is simple: every person is unique. Every path to healing is unique. Everything shows up for us in the exact right moment.
Every person has capabilities and power beyond what they realize. In today’s society, we’ve become accustomed to settling and accepting the way things are rather than focusing on the exciting possibilities and opportunities that are right in front of us. Using a combination of hypnotherapy and intuitive coaching, I take clients into their subconscious mind to gain a deep and powerful understanding about what’s troubling them and what they may be struggling with. I work with clients to shift their subconcious beliefs and to help them find what motivates them to achieve their goals. I have successfully helped clients quit smoking. Others have found relief from social anxiety, learned to speak up for themselves, put a stop to “people pleasing” behaviour by realizing who they really are and what they want.
If you’re here, you’re ready, and I’m excited to support you every step of the way. Let’s do this together!

Massage has always been a part of Josh’s life. Growing up Filipinx, massage exchange was common between generations and massage was freely given from grandparents, parents and children within the family. So as he grew older, it was only natural that he would practice on friends and family. Josh eventually discovered his other passion in life - dance. As his dance technique became more sophisticated he found that his massage therapy skills mirrored that sophistication as well. Complementing his art, he decided to further his studies in this field. Now, as a registered massage therapist he is excited to share his passion with the public.
His style draws predominantly from his schooling in Holistic Spa Therapy and Registered Massage Therapy program to treat a range of orthopedic and systemic conditions. This includes pregnancy and postpartum, surgical scars, chronic pain, neuralgia, and of course
muscle tension and back, neck and shoulder pain. Josh strives to include proper stretching, healthy habits, and injury prevention as other aspects of health within an active rehabilitation plan to provide his clients with the most positive outcome. He believes people are unique, complex individuals and that our bodies innately know how to heal ourselves. With this in mind he intends to be a facilitator of this healing through moment to moment listening of the body and apply movement
When not at work Josh can be found dancing, making art or hanging out with his big family.

Health and well-being has been a central tenet of my life for over a decade now, initially as a Registered Massage Therapist, and now as Registered Clinical Counsellor. I’m excited to explore the possibilities of wellness in a multidisciplinary facility like Local Health Integrative Clinic, and to being a helping partner in each client’s own unique journey.
I live in Vancouver with my fiancée and our two cats, and I spent my free time playing board games, watching bad reality television, and crafting.
Philosophy:
My history as a health care professional has informed my counselling in that I believe any challenge we encounter will see impacts in our emotions, our thoughts, and our physical body. By tuning into all three, we can turn signs of distress into sources of insight, and resources for self-soothing and emotional management.
Relationship is at the centre of my treatment approach, but I commonly introduce mindfulness, skill-building, body focused and role playing techniques as possible tools. I welcome individuals from all ages, cultures, genders, and sexuality, particularly members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, and people struggling with chronic pain.

After working in western medicine as an LPN for 10 years, I was looking to diversify my treatment approach. Having found relief from various physical and psychosocial symptoms through Traditional Chinese Medicine myself, I decided to pursue Acupuncture.
I spent the early years in my nursing career working in a hospice facility. It was here that I witnessed firsthand what happens when pathologies are caught at a later stage and treated with only pharmaceuticals. The TCM diagnostic approach allows us to see deficiencies and imbalances before they progress to disease. This is why I so strongly believes in the preventative vs. curative approach to Eastern medicine, as well as treating the ‘root’ before the ‘branch’.
Since receiving my acupuncture diploma in 2019, I have completed additional training in facial rejuvenation cosmetic acupuncture, and Acusculpting certification for boosting whole body collagen production and metabolism.
We have a lot to learn from our bodies if we just take the time and care to listen. My goal as an Acupuncturist is to enable my patients to hear what their body is whispering so that it never has to scream.

I’ve been practicing now under the Gendai Reiki Energy tradition for over 10 years. I believe that relationships offer unique opportunities for growth, including in the counselling relationship. For this reason I bring my full self to therapy sessions: as we work together, I will let you know what I think and feel. I will truly care about you. My work is person-centered, which means that I will follow you where you want to go, and support you to set the agenda for our work together. I believe in feedback-informed treatment, so I will ask for your thoughts on how we are doing, as a way to learn together about what does and doesn’t work for us. Any exercises or skills that I offer, or decisions I make in our sessions, will be with the intention of helping you.

I am a second generation Chinese Canadian born and raised in so-called Vancouver, a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncturist and sound healer. Having completed a Doctorate of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver and an internship at Tzu Chi Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan, it is with great honour to practice a cultural medicine of my ancestors.
I always strive to make my patients feel heard and listened to. I am very meticulous at describing treatments and treatment plans that are catered to unique individualistic needs. Your comfort is my utmost priority and acupuncture naps are my speciality!
Having had chronic health issues throughout my 20s, with little or no relief from western modalities, I was led to seek alternative therapies. After successful treatment from a combination of acupuncture, diet therapy and traditional herbs, my health improved, and I gained a keen interest in and appreciation for the holistic approach to healing. I am passionate about sharing knowledge so that others can have similar success stories.
Since 2016, I have treated people experiencing a wide range of challenges, including orthopedic concerns, pain management, gastrointestinal issues, mental health, sleep issues, pregnancy, fertility, gynecological issues, urinary health and more.
My philosophy:
Through the many modalities of this East Asian Medicine, my vision is to activate your mind, body and spirit’s natural internal healing systems so that we bring balance and empowerment to your life. I believe that both passive and active treatments are needed to bring your life back to your optimal health.
To keep balanced, outside of work, I am often found playing on the mountains from hiking BC’s many trails to snowboarding in the winter months. Mountains are medicine to me. Music is also medicine. I am a classically trained musician of over 30 years. With my most recent training in Kathmandu Nepal with my sound healing teacher Grand Master Shree Krishna Shahi, a 3rd generation sound healer. Other than meditating with my Himalayan Singing bowls, I play the piano, ukulele, and currently trying to learn to play the banjo well.

I am a lover of the creative arts, particularly music, and feel most alive when riding my bike, dancing, traveling, and immersing myself in nature. I believe life is most fully experienced when we feel safe enough to hold space for all our emotions and experiences.
Sometimes that means beginning again, getting curious about the places in ourselves that may have been hurt, and allowing those experiences to be, with awareness, acceptance, compassion, and laughter.
My experiences as an educator to at-risk youth have led me towards an emotion focused, trauma informed and attachment based approach to therapy. My background education and interest in Eastern Religion has also drawn me to somatics and mindfulness, which I weave into my
therapeutic approach and personal practise. I believe everyone can heal and thrive when given an opportunity to discover and understand all parts of themselves and their experiences in a safe and supportive space.
I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone call or video chat to see if we would be a good fit. Please contact me at counselling@samanthamoore.ca to set this up.

Since becoming a Registered Massage Therapist in 2014, my appreciation for healing, holistic wellness and the body’s intricacies has grown into a passion that I’m grateful to be able to share with my patients! I have experience working with a wide variety of conditions, but especially love to assist with: chronic pain, stress management, pregnancy and postnatal care, injuries, scar tissue, digestive conditions, and headache relief. Outside of work you’ll most often find me reading, cooking/baking, crafting, thrifting, playing in nature, petting other people’s dogs, and trying to catch one last glimpse of the sunset!
I believe in approaching healing holistically, in a way that is collaborative, integrative, educational, and tailored to each patient’s unique situation and goals. I strive to give patient-centered treatments that are trauma-informed, queer-inclusive, and body-neutral. It’s important to me that the treatment room be a safe, enjoyable space for you, and I’m always happy to make whatever adjustments are needed (to pressure, positioning, temperature, lights, sound etc.) in order for you to feel comfortable, so please don’t hesitate to ask!
